The Town of Winfield Clerk is responsible for the minutes from the Town Board meetings and any special meetings as well as work sessions. Meetings are held in the Office at the Highway Garage at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. If a change of date is needed an official posting will be in the West Winfield Post Office. A list of all dates of regular Board meetings may be found in the website.
The Clerk also issues Marriage Licenses and Death Certificates and acts as the Registrar of Vital Statistics for the Town. This includes the keeping of older records as well as the records being sent to the State of New York Registrar.
Dog Licenses are also issued by the Clerk. These are renewed yearly and owners are sent renewal notices. If dog licenses are not renewed the Dog Control Officer is notified by the Clerk and she notifies the owners that they are delinquent according to Town Law.
